Chemical processes are very complex due to the high accuracy and sensitivity required to ensure product quality. In addition, when the production process is batch, this complexity is doubled. Because in the batch process, we need to optimize the production schedule on the one hand and prevent the interference in the operation of different units on the other hand. Especially in Ilya Nano adsorbent production line, due to the high cost of each batch product and the innovative production method (for the first time in Iran), the existence of a control system with high accuracy and flexibility is very important. In particular, the operation team wants to be able to modify synthesis method and workflow settings by process engineers. The existence of several different packages with various communication protocols is another feature of this project. SAAIEN Co. was selected to implement the project by submitting a comprehensive technical and financial proposal through the tender. It should be noted that in this project, in addition to designing, installing and testing the DCS system (including control panel, batch control system software and monitoring and communication system with packages), redesign, assembly, construction and commissioning of power panels were also performed. In addition, due to the redesign of parts of the production line, new requests from the client were also considered. This project is currently in the start-up testing phase.
